If everything is subjective, then there is no excuse not to choose the reality that aligns with your viewpoint – BD
It takes a humble student to admit when they’re wrong. It just so happens that I find myself in this position quite often. Every few months I have a big realization that completely changes my entire outlook on the world.
The latest one challenges everything I thought I knew about life. It prompts me to question how abstract our world is. As I have studied scientific researchers, law of attraction gurus, and countless other teachers, one thing has become apparent.
Everything works and everything is true. Yet, nothing is set in stone and everything is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Life is only as real as you make it, and absolutely nothing is a fact.
I’ll explore every one of these earth-shattering statements in this post. The goal is to poke at your understanding of the world and possibly change your entire outlook on life as well.
In doing so, I will have helped you break past the barriers of your mind and help you discover how powerful you truly are.
What is a belief?
A belief is the mental acceptance of an idea. This often is ingrained in us by other people, or ourselves.
You may have heard that you were naturally intelligent as a child. You then accepted this as true and proved it to yourself with every aced test and every golden star you received.
Likewise, as an adult, you may have been told that you are a funny person. People always seem to laugh in your company and you don’t even try. You then accepted that you were just a funny guy or girl.
These are also what can be called, natural assumptions. The ways you view yourself and the world around you. The world then has no choice but to conform to your assumptions.
This is based on the principle that no one truly has free will in your reality. The beliefs you have about yourself, then reflect on how others view you.
An example of this is someone who is clearly confident. We see them and automatically say, “She’s so confident.” Though, we only see her in that way because that’s how she sees herself. Swap this for anything, and you have a natural assumption at play.
I bring up assumptions because they are the beliefs of the manifestation communities. We may see the world through a different lens, but we still have assumptions that may or may not serve us. It is important to periodically evaluate yours, as these things can be sneaky.
What are belief systems
A belief system is what happens when a group of people, who have similar beliefs, accept something as a fact. Belief systems can be created by anyone who has a strong enough opinion.
Religions are the most common example of widely spread belief systems. With millions of worshipers for over 4,200 religions in the world, they all are governed by a set of beliefs about their god, morality, and righteousness.
We all have belief systems that we agreed to. Right now the only reason we abide by the laws of physics, is that we accept them as facts. Why do we call them laws in the first place?
A law implies that it is set in stone, unchanged, and finite. However, as you understand the multitude of our universe, you will see that there are truthfully no such things.
At one point everything thought the universe revolves around our planet. There was a time not long ago when people thought electricity was witchcraft. It’s safe to say, just because we agreed to something at one point, doesn’t mean we can’t just flip the switch.
Nothing is a fact
Oftentimes people confuse beliefs with facts. However, they are not the same. This is apparent when you see two people argue over a topic they are both extremely passionate about.
Both parties would agree that they are correct. They lean heavily on the premise that they are, speaking facts, as the urban dictionary would define it.
I use this saying a lot because I feel very strongly about everything, that is until I change my mind. Thus proving that nothing is a solid fact. Facts are ever-changing as we, both collectively and individually, evolve and grow.
How a difference in beliefs can change your perspective
A fact is just a belief that we all agreed on at one given time. We then go as far as to force others to believe it too! Regardless of their internal compass, many people accept the “expert’s” opinion as their gospel.
In his book, You are the placebo, Dr. Joe Dispenza tells the story of a man who believed he was cursed by a voodoo priest. No one, not even the doctor could tell this man that he was perfectly healthy.
That was until the doctor devised a plan to stage a lizard exorcism. This consisted of giving the man drugs to make him throw up, and finding a lizard in it.
Thus breaking the curse, the man finally gave himself permission to end his symptoms. He and his family rejoiced that the curse was finally lifted. To this man and his family, he was cursed, and no one could tell him otherwise.
Imagine if someone had blessed him with extreme luck and prosperity instead. He would just so easily start attracting positive events that led to his riches, and no one could take it away from him.
This new belief that he was touched by luck would prevail and become his new assumption/belief/fact about himself. As you can see, the same forces that we allow to curse us can also be made to work in our favor.
The doctor’s always right. Right?
Similarly, when doctors tell people that they are sick, their bodies react as if it were true, even if they were perfectly healthy five minutes ago. That is, only if the person blindly accepts the doctor’s words as a fact.
We often turn off our analytical minds, in the presence of an authority figure. After all, they did spend over eight years studying medicine for their particle field. Of course, they know more about our bodies than we ourselves… Even if we’ve lived in it our entire lives in it and they haven’t.
As someone who knows their power as more than just body, I don’t have the same trust for the medical industry as the rest.
Therefore, I would not be so quick to accept something from a healthcare professional.
The only difference between me and the man from the story above is our belief in different things. If you are raised in a culture where you trust the big man more than yourself, you give them all the power over you, your health, and your future.
Likewise, if you discover your own healing and manifesting abilities, you may not be so quick to accept what is presented to you.
It is wise to reinforce the idea that you’re the operant power. You have the power to accept or reject anything in your reality. As the saying goes, either you are an extra in someone else’s movie or the main character in your own.
Can a fact really be proven?
We have facts because we think we live in a solid world. We think everything is as we see it. Therefore we create these “facts” to filter out the world. However, new studies on quantum physics show that the world is anything but as it appears to be.
Our laws of physics can be changed at any moment we collectively decide to. The moment the first person starts flying around publicly, science will have to create a new curriculum for the science community and our schools.
I’ve always thought that magic was just an unexplored science, but every year this proves to become more true. I would like to rename facts as temporary placeholders. A placeholder is made to be swapped out for a better version the moment one becomes available.
Everything is subjective
I received a comment once from someone saying that the sky being blue is a fact. I was feeling a bit petty that day so I trolled them a bit about it. Sometimes we just have a little extra time to play.
If you want to get technical, the sky’s not actually blue. The oceans and sky are blue in the way light reflects. The sky is simply a clear layer separating us from the depths of outer space.
A color-blind person will see an entirely different color of the sky than someone who is not. Are we going to tell them that their perception of the world is a lie? No, because what they see is a fact to them.
As mentioned earlier, everything is subjective. Ten people can see the world in entirely different ways. Are we to discount their experience and award only one of them the crown for being correct?
With over eight billion people in this world, it becomes extremely difficult to track the true facts of life. In some cultures, the natural laws of mankind don’t even apply.
This is getting into the territory of thought forms, which are collective manifestations. In that case, the impossible truly becomes a thing of the past. It also shows just how powerful intentions can become.
There Is no sky, everything’s an illusion. Nothing is as it seems. Everything is both true and false at the same time. Let’s stop limiting ourselves to one point of view.
Final Thoughts
You are powerful beyond what your human mind can even conceptualize. If entire cultures can create beliefs that make magic possible, there is no reason why you can’t manifest your dream life.
Imagine the life you could live if you created your own facts. Beyond science, beyond religion, beyond the laws of this world. What if everyone did that? What kind of world would we live in if there were no limitations?
